Senior Commodity Sourcing Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee designated fluid commodity categories: Air, Water-Cooled Generators, Fire Suppression, and 7EA Accessory.

• Assist in the formulation and implementation of commodity strategies for the Gas Power sector.

• Negotiate supplier agreements to secure the best terms while fulfilling project requirements.

• Manage all commercial elements of supplier purchase orders.

• Develop and execute supplier strategies aimed at optimizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

• Identify suppliers for project quotations and lead the negotiation process.

• Allocate demand and ensure suppliers comply with GEV standards.

• Coordinate awards and the placement of purchase orders in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement.

• Manage modifications to purchase orders and address commercial claims related to delivery and quality issues.

• Cultivate subject matter expertise in assigned commodity areas.

• Support initiatives for process improvement.

• Resolve complex challenges, foster stakeholder alignment, and influence results.

• Act as a resource for less experienced team members.

• Utilize sound judgment, technical knowledge, data analytics, and cross-functional input to inform decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as necessary.

• Education level equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supply Chain Management.

• Proficiency in developing sourcing strategies and negotiating contracts.

• Familiarity with legal terminology and contract negotiation processes.
