This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee complex commercial and business litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Formulate litigation strategies and evaluate intricate legal and factual matters.
• Compose compelling motions, briefs, pleadings, and other essential legal documents.
• Direct written discovery, document review, and overall case development.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Actively engage in hearings and trial preparation.
• Collaborate directly with clients, offering practical and strategic legal counsel.
• Liaise with opposing counsel, courts, clients, and internal teams.
• Independently handle multiple complex cases while ensuring high-quality work standards.
• Work alongside seasoned trial attorneys on high-stakes legal disputes.
• Assume increasing responsibility for case strategy, client interactions, and courtroom representation.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, business litigation, or complex civil litigation.
• Current experience in a private practice law firm is highly preferred.
• Juris Doctor degree from a Top 100 U.S. law school.
• Active bar license in your state of residence.
• Outstanding legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy abilities.
• Significant experience with motions, discovery, depositions, and case management responsibilities.
• Experience at a prestigious law firm is strongly favored.
• Background in Big Law, Am Law, or a respected midsize firm is valued but not mandatory.
• Capability to independently navigate demanding litigation cases.
• Experience in trial, arbitration, or substantial courtroom involvement is beneficial.
• Portable business is welcome but not essential.
• Candidates with a primary focus on insurance defense, personal injury, or family law will not be considered.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Must maintain an active bar license in your state of residence.
