Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures utilizing AWS.

• Lead the development of security guardrails, policies, and standards encompassing IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and associated controls.

• Implement a Zero Trust architecture for cloud-native systems and user endpoints.

• Secure containerized and serverless workloads, including ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Lambda.

• Evaluate cloud implementations, identify security vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation efforts.

• Define and enforce security controls for endpoint management, resource access, identity lifecycle, PAM, AI/ML, and GenAI.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish a secure VDI environment that supports PHI access.

• Mitigate risks associated with AI/ML, including model poisoning, prompt injection, data leakage, and adversarial attacks.

• Secure Agentic AI systems and work alongside data science teams on MLSecOps.

• Partner with GRC to address HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 audits, compliance initiatives, risk assessments, and threat modeling.

• Implement cloud-native monitoring and detection solutions utilizing SIEM, CSPM, and CWPP.

• Develop automated response and remediation workflows while managing cloud security incidents.

• Integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Automate security controls, scanning processes, and policy enforcement.

• Mentor engineers and security analysts, promoting best practices in security.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, people operations, enterprise systems, and data science teams.

• Stay ahead of emerging threats related to cloud and AI security, collaborating with both internal and external teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required.

• A Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Security certifications are highly desirable.

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity engineering.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, encryption, and logging.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and securing them.

• Solid comprehension of securing containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker.

• In-depth knowledge of security practices in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).

• Extensive experience in implementing automation for enhanced efficiencies.

• Experience with the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture.

• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages.

• Experience in identifying AI security risks and securing AI technologies.

• Ability to work collaboratively and indirectly lead a diverse range of professionals and team members.

• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without current or future sponsorship.
