Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee, monitor, and provide support for a production infrastructure environment.

• Manage AWS environments and resources efficiently.

• Offer support for various medium- to high-complexity systems or applications.

• Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues according to established procedures.

• Analyze and present operational metrics to gain insights into performance and facilitate process enhancements.

• Handle DNS, FTP, IIS, and application environments effectively.

• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

• Communicate incidents to stakeholders, teams, and leadership promptly.

• Perform cabling, racking, and other physical tasks within the data center; occasional travel may be necessary.

• Create user accounts in IAM and other user management systems.

• Update production server resources and adjust sizing as required.

• Assist with and resolve medium- to complex technical issues.

• Adhere to the company's Code of Ethics and CXone policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large production infrastructure environment.

• At least 5 years of experience in Windows Server Administration within a Production Environment.

• Over 5 years of experience configuring server hardware and operating systems.

• Familiarity with managing and securing Linux servers in production settings (RHEL, Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux).

• Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced production environments with shifting priorities and timelines.

• Experience with Microsoft and Linux OS patching.

• Strong understanding of Windows Domains, Active Directory, and DNS.

• Experience in Change Management processes.

• Background working in a PCI / Cyber Essentials compliant setting.

• Experience with AWS EKS and ECS.

• Familiarity with maintaining relational databases.

• Knowledge of working with Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.

• Experience with SAN or NAS systems.

• Experience with Okta.

• Background in Hardware Replacements/Vendor Work.

• Experience managing Cisco UCS.

• Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining AWS environments.

• Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages.
