Senior Cloud Network Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for customer-oriented network services operating on public cloud platforms.

• Diagnose network connectivity problems, incidents, and service interruptions within production settings.

• Analyze network traffic patterns and conduct fault isolation across cloud and network systems.

• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address technical challenges and escalate complex issues when necessary.

• Adhere to operational procedures, runbooks, and incident, change, and problem management protocols.

• Record troubleshooting processes, technical insights, and actions undertaken.

• Acquire knowledge and provide support for new cloud services, technologies, and operational workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional background in network engineering and operations.

• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, IP networking, routing, and switching.

• Demonstrated capability to configure, troubleshoot, and resolve VPN-related challenges.

• Strong proficiency in firewalls and network security measures.

• Experience overseeing load balancing and DNS within production environments.

• Hands-on experience with at least one leading public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud.

• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, including VPCs/virtual networks, subnets, routing, security groups/network ACLs, and private connectivity.

• Advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation expertise across network and cloud settings.

• Experience supporting customer-facing production environments and managing incidents effectively.

• Nice-to-have: experience with DDoS protection.

• Nice-to-have: infrastructure automation using Terraform or Ansible.

• Nice-to-have: experience with REST APIs.

• Nice-to-have: proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
