Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation, management, and enhancement of GXO’s global enterprise network infrastructure.

• Enhance network reliability while minimizing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

• Facilitate the execution of various projects.

• Collaborate with Verizon and deployment teams to strategize, coordinate, and realize NetMod rollouts.

• Relay incidents, technical challenges, and service updates to stakeholders across all levels.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams on modifications, deployments, and operational tasks.

• Coordinate daily with IBM Operations teams to expedite incident resolution, monitor progress, and follow up on actions.

• Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors.

• Promote continuous service improvement by identifying operational challenges and contributing to process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in network engineering, network operations, or a comparable technical infrastructure role.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking (WLAN).

• Experience with SD-WAN technologies is highly preferred.

• Expertise in Fortinet SD-WAN is considered a significant advantage.

• Proven experience in outsourced or managed service environments.

• Experience collaborating with vendors such as IBM or similar service providers.

• Hands-on skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex network incidents in multi-vendor environments.

• Take ownership of issues until successful resolution is achieved.

• Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 working hours with occasional travel to the Northampton office.
