Senior Cloud Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver dedicated customer-facing assistance for 11:11 Systems’ cloud network systems, encompassing configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and escalation processes.

• Take ownership and maintain accountability for designated cloud network responsibilities.

• Lead intricate network troubleshooting efforts during incidents and ensure issues are resolved within SLA obligations.

• Engage in on-call rotation duties.

• Record activities in the company ticketing system and uphold knowledge-base documentation.

• Create and sustain custom reporting, along with technical build and support documentation, which includes diagrams and Customer Design Requirements (CDRs).

• Aid in the preparation of detailed Service Incident Reports (SIRs), incorporating root cause analysis and preventive strategies.

• Plan and execute changes related to incidents, customer requests, lifecycle, implementation, and decommissioning projects, frequently outside regular business hours.

• Assess incident, change, and request tickets for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery clients.

• Oversee switches, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC VPNs, and WAN configurations.

• Implement and manage network security hardware and software while enforcing network security policies.

• Provide additional support for Cloud Services deployment engineering functions.

• Assist the Network Solution Architect team with customer network designs.

• Pursue advanced certifications and remain updated with Cisco, F5, and VMware technologies.

• Adhere to 11:11 Systems service-management best practices and company policies.

• Manage company data in accordance with data-handling agreements, procedures, and policies.

• Complete annual compliance training and policy acknowledgments.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant field experience.

• Over 10 years of recent experience as a technical, hands-on, Cisco-based network engineer.

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE certified with documented professional experience.

• Experience in global data center environments.

• Strong background in supporting and implementing virtualization clusters (VMware) and software-defined networking, specifically VMware NSX.

• Expert-level proficiency with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/ASR, and F5 LTM, APM, ASM hardware platforms.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities.

• Practical experience managing enterprise-scale, highly available, mission-critical network infrastructures.

• Expert-level knowledge of internet routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

• Familiarity with Citrix, Fortigate, Netscaler, SonicWall, and Juniper equipment.

• Professional background in a consulting or other enterprise customer-facing technical support position.

• Senior-level experience in network design and architecting network topologies for various environments.

• Capability to independently pursue positive outcomes for assigned tasks.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
