Senior Cloud Engineer – DevOps, DevSecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain reusable Terraform and Ansible modules for Azure and GCP.

• Enforce configuration standards and implement policy-as-code practices across various environments.

• Construct and manage scalable, secure Azure and GCP environments, including AKS/GKE, App Gateway, VNets, NSGs, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.

• Implement governance measures, cost optimization strategies, and compliance controls across subscriptions and projects.

• Develop and enhance Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment.

• Execute blue/green, canary, and rollback deployment strategies with integrated observability and alerting.

• Incorporate vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and compliance verification into CI/CD workflows.

• Manage secrets, certificates, and key materials using secure vault solutions.

• Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure alignment with FedRAMP, FIPS, ISO, and PCI standards.

• Contribute to portal application code utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends, REST API endpoints, and straightforward backend handlers.

• Integrate applications with standardized observability, secrets management, authentication, and deployment patterns.

• Implement proactive monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics.

• Define and fine-tune SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets in alignment with business outcomes.

• Engage in agile planning, standups, retrospectives, release management, and post-incident reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering, with exposure to full-stack applications.

• Demonstrated expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud architecture and automation techniques.

• Practical experience with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and the design of reusable modules.

• Strong skills in Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with security frameworks.

• Experience in container security, image scanning, and supply chain security.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Capability to build or maintain portal-style web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends and REST backends.

• Working knowledge of AI-first development, including regular use of AI coding assistants and reviewing AI-generated outputs for accuracy and security.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, network, and application layers.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to collaborate during US Eastern Time hours.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Willingness to work Monday-Friday during US Eastern Time hours; for candidates based in India, typically 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST, adjusted for daylight saving time.

• Preferred or additional certifications include Azure AZ-104/AZ-400, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, and HashiCorp Terraform Associate.

• Prior experience in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, BFSI, or healthcare is a plus.

• Familiarity with Ansible and ArgoCD is a bonus.
