Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee WWF’s Azure infrastructure, which includes subscriptions, resource provisioning, and managing both production and staging virtual machines.

• Create and deploy virtual machines for Windows, SQL, Red Hat, and firewalls.

• Set up Microsoft Entra tenants and handle SSO via Azure Enterprise Applications.

• Ensure secure role-based access control (RBAC) and user group management.

• Proactively apply patches to systems and automate processes utilizing PowerShell and Graph API.

• Develop backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

• Diagnose networking issues across VNETs, sites, and tenants.

• Configure and resolve issues with firewalls, load balancers, DNS, Azure, and Cloudflare.

• Act as the escalation expert for issues related to Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

• Lead projects from start to finish and liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Occasionally work after hours or on weekends for critical outages or scheduled maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 6 years in the IT sector.

• Proficiency in both verbal and written English and Spanish.

• Experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT systems.

• Extensive hands-on experience with highly available and resilient Azure production environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and both Windows and Linux servers.

• Skills in managing Windows domains and Active Directory.

• Advanced proficiency in using PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration.

• Familiarity with provisioning and managing access for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry.

• Experience in integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents within enterprise Azure/M365 settings, including data access control and governance configurations.

• Significant experience in building, deploying, and managing Azure virtual machines.

• Proven ability to diagnose complex cloud or hybrid system problems and create scalable, sustainable solutions.

• Strong methodologies for troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.

• Enterprise-level expertise in infrastructure, Azure cloud architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and AI-driven automation technologies.

• Skills in configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET configuration.

• A commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusion across teams.

• Legally authorized to work in the specified job location.

• Must currently reside and be authorized to work in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Suriname, or Guyana.
