Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and secure scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, OCI, and occasionally GCP/Azure.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines, enhancing them through GitHub Actions and GitHub Enterprise.

• Maintain and optimize Kubernetes clusters and AWS ECS environments, including the management of GPU infrastructure.

• Integrate comprehensive security measures by embedding advanced security tools and proactive practices.

• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Sentry.

• Utilize Jira efficiently for project management and issue tracking.

• Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to foster secure and efficient development practices.

• Promptly and proactively address vulnerabilities, security incidents, and tickets.

• Manage DevOps/SRE intake queues.

• Carry out Kubernetes service migrations from AWS (EKS) to OCI (OKE), ensuring workload compatibility, stability, and minimal disruption.

• Contribute to a technical team dedicated to safeguarding Tractian's cloud and data infrastructure across various cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, or comparable roles.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS and OCI; familiarity with GCP/Azure is preferred.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (k8s), including cluster management, pod architecture, and GPU-based workloads; CKA or CKAD certification is a plus.

• Proficient in Terraform (primary IaC tool), Helm, Docker, and AWS ECS.

• Significant experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and Cloudflare.

• Skilled in monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Sentry.

• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks, including SOC2 and ISO 27001.

• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.

• Experience with Docker Kompose is a plus.

• Relevant certifications in AWS, OCI, Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD), or other cloud engineering credentials.

• Previous experience in high-growth technology environments.
