Senior Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee client engagements and provide strategic insights on scalable cloud architecture and operational advice.

• Lead cross-functional implementation teams and manage advanced cloud engineering initiatives for clients.

• Develop Infrastructure as Code across various frameworks while ensuring stability and security in cloud environments.

• Automate client workflows and spearhead re-platforming and refactoring projects.

• Conduct client discovery sessions and create prioritized backlogs for ongoing improvements.

• Design, implement, and construct scalable AWS architectures focusing on reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Build and maintain observability solutions utilizing CloudWatch, X-Ray, Config, Datadog, Dynatrace, and OpenTelemetry.

• Establish monitoring metrics, logs, runbooks, and automation for 24x7 response and operational teams.

• Minimize operational disruptions and address root causes alongside CloudOps teams.

• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams on enhancing resilience, security, and cost management.

• Mentor team members, define user stories and tasks, and contribute to internal intellectual property and open-source initiatives.

• Engage in Agile delivery, code reviews, pair programming, vendor relationships, client presentations, and technical training.

• Remain updated on AWS best practices and support certifications, blog contributions, talks, and client problem resolution.

• Travel periodically for stakeholder meetings, project kickoffs, conferences, and company events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 6 years of general IT experience; or over 8 years of general IT experience.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services.

• At least 2 years of experience in code-defined infrastructure.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD).

• Familiarity with Agile Project Management or other project management methodologies.

• 4 years of experience with Cloud Native patterns utilizing services like AWS Lambda.

• 4 years of experience in designing and building scalable, automated infrastructure.

• Current legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

• AWS Associate and/or Professional Level Certification is preferred.

• Preferred experience of 2+ years in programming with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, GoLang, Java, C#, or similar languages.

• Preferred knowledge of AWS and application observability concepts and techniques.

• Demonstrated skills in documentation and presentation are preferred.
