This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate multifamily mortgage loan transactions from onboarding to commitment issuance, rate lock, closing, funding, delivery, and settlement/purchase.

• Act as the main coordinator for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Implement current guidance, program requirements, forms, and updates from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

• Manage closing processes for business partners, both external and internal.

• Engage with and manage external legal counsel, supervising legal matters related to transactions through closing and resolving post-closing issues.

• Review applications, underwriting packages, and credit approvals to ensure compliance with transaction structure and closing requirements.

• Provide feedback on agency commitments and prepare lender commitments.

• Coordinate rate lock activities and submit documentation specific to agency commitments, including Fannie Mae C&D submissions.

• Collaborate with Underwriting, Originations, Legal, Servicing, Asset Management, and agency partners to address transaction challenges.

• Conduct real estate tax and insurance escrow analysis for closings.

• Prepare, review, and/or account for reconciliations, lender statements, and closing documentation.

• Examine Title Company Settlement Statements and Receipts and Disbursement ledgers for accuracy and compliance.

• Coordinate loan fundings, wire approvals, closing packages, and disbursement activities.

• Confirm underwriting, legal, and closing conditions prior to rate lock, funding, and disbursement.

• Oversee delivery submissions to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for certification and/or purchase.

• Manage non-standard transactions and affordable products, including forward commitments, TELs, and MTEBs.

• Maintain records of transactions, closing schedules, pipeline reports, and tracking tools for agency delivery.

• Identify operational efficiencies and support process improvement, departmental initiatives, training, and best-practice development.

• Offer mentorship, share knowledge, and support ongoing development of the closing platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• At least five (5) years of experience in commercial real estate lending, agency multifamily loan closings, transaction management, underwriting, legal coordination, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Program Plus, Freddie Mac TAH, TEL, M.TEB, and other agency multifamily lending products is preferred.

• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines simultaneously.

• Ability to independently evaluate transaction risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and create practical solutions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in engaging with clients, attorneys, agency representatives, and all management levels.

• Proven ability to foster relationships, influence outcomes, and encourage collaboration across various departments and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience with Salesforce, agency delivery systems, and other transaction management platforms is preferred.

• High attention to detail, strong initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
