Senior Clinical Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Formulates and/or assesses departmental operating protocols.

• Creates study protocols for the execution of experiments, evaluation, and documentation of outcomes.

• Adheres to both standard and complex procedures while conducting studies, evaluations, and documenting results.

• Engages in the formulation of clinical strategies for product development.

• Designs, implements, and oversees Abbott-sponsored external clinical studies, including PMA and outcome studies.

• Identifies and assesses external clinical sites.

• Develops and upholds operating procedures.

• Contributes to clinical strategy formulation to support product development and market launch.

• Involved in cross-functional product development efforts, including risk management activities.

• Successfully completes clinical studies within established timelines to meet product development objectives and product launch schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (± 16 years) in a relevant field and/or a suitable combination of education and work experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in conducting clinical studies or possessing related laboratory skills.

• Previous involvement in medical device-related studies is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulations governing medical devices is advantageous.

• Experience conducting medical device clinical trials is preferred, particularly in TAVR.

• Experience with Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trials.

• Management experience with physicians.

• Safety management experience is preferred.

• Proven experience collaborating with external clinical research committees (e.g., screening committees, DSMB, CEC).
