Senior Claims Specialist – General Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the quality investigation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of commercial general liability claims.

• Manage claims that involve coverage disputes, injuries, property damage, contractual liability risks, and intricate claim issues.

• Evaluate new losses and oversee claims through coverage analysis, investigation, damage assessment, reserving, and resolution.

• Supervise processes related to bodily injury, auto material damage, and total loss claims.

• Conduct vehicle appraisals, assess diminished value, coordinate vendor networks, handle subrogation demands, manage salvage procedures, and perform heavy equipment appraisals.

• Set up timely and precise claim and expense reserves.

• Negotiate and communicate claim settlements within defined authority limits.

• Participate in regional round table discussions as necessary.

• Draft Reservation of Rights and Coverage Denial letters, along with other complex correspondence.

• Maintain an efficient diary system and document claim file activities following established protocols.

• Manage file inventory to ensure prompt resolution.

• Handle files in accordance with state regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service to insured clients, agents, and both internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in casualty claims.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in computer skills with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with tort and contract law.

• Experience in auditing and reviewing casualty claim files.

• Independent adjuster licenses for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, or the ability to obtain these licenses within 90 days of hiring.

• A BA/BS degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
