Senior Claims Representative – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of claims to assess compensability and liability.

• Organize and carry out claim investigations to verify coverage and establish liability, compensability, and damages.

• Evaluate and negotiate suitable claim settlements and reserves within the designated authority limits.

• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required.

• Communicate moderately complex coverage and settlement details to insured parties, claimants, and external stakeholders.

• Approve payments within assigned authority limits and guarantee prompt disbursement.

• Keep comprehensive and precise claim files, which include correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

• Execute additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing property and casualty claims.

• Completion of or ongoing progress towards a professional designation is preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling protocols.

• Understanding of industry laws and regulations.

• Capability to organize and prioritize caseloads to ensure claims are resolved promptly.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to cultivate relationships and lead negotiations effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with care.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
