Senior Claims Representative – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of claims to assess compensability and liability

• Organize and execute claim investigations to validate coverage and ascertain liability, compensability, and damages

• Evaluate and negotiate suitable claim settlements and reserves within designated authority

• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary

• Communicate moderately complex coverage and settlement details to insured parties, claimants, and external stakeholders

• Approve payments within assigned authority limits and ensure prompt payment

• Keep accurate and comprehensive claim records, including correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements

• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Typically, at least 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims management

• Completion of, or ongoing progress towards, a professional designation is preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC)

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities

• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling processes

• Understanding of industry laws and regulations

• Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads to ensure prompt resolution of claims

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Capability to build relationships and lead negotiations

• Proven track record of handling confidential information with care

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship
