Senior Claims Advisor, BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Analyze insurance policy language and maintain an active diary system to ensure files are current.

• Examine losses for applicable coverage and work collaboratively with Underwriting as needed.

• Assess liability and quantify claims that involve moderate to high complexity.

• Set appropriate reserves based on potential exposure.

• Adhere to file management and service standards as specified in Best Practices.

• Engage in various file committees as necessary and collaborate closely with defense counsel on litigation matters within assigned authority.

• Negotiate settlements with claimants and solicitors to resolve claims within the given authority.

• Stay informed about legislative updates and industry trends, contributing to claim strategies as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in handling Bodily Injury (BI) claims, with the capability to manage cases of moderate to high complexity.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to excel in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and exposures in a claim.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

• A New Brunswick Adjuster's License is advantageous.

• Candidates lacking a New Brunswick Adjuster's License must be prepared to obtain one upon hiring.

• Proficient English communication skills are essential for roles available to candidates across Canada.
