Senior Claims Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate, non-catastrophic first-party injury claims.

• Analyze insurance policy language, assess policy coverages, and establish reserves for Accident Benefit claims.

• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve moderate to high-complexity accident benefits claims through telephone, in-person meetings, and/or written communication.

• Adhere to Allstate's policies, procedures, as well as legislative and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of files.

• Resolve claims within personal authority and comply with company protocols for claims that exceed this authority.

• Establish and clarify customer service expectations.

• Take initiative and responsibility to address customer issues.

• Manage a caseload consistent with that of a Senior Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits.

• Communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, and attorneys.

• Work collaboratively with Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2-4 years of relevant experience with Ontario Accident Benefits outside the MIG.

• Completion of the CIP designation or a desire to pursue it is preferred.

• Previous experience in insurance with knowledge of injury claims, medical rehabilitation concepts, and medical terminology is preferred.

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong critical thinking skills to assess the strengths and weaknesses of claims.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
