Senior Civil Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution of civil and land development designs for large-scale renewable energy projects.

• Develop intricate civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation, including site layouts using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

• Oversee site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, access roads, and other related civil design across various projects or portfolios.

• Utilize engineering judgment to create practical, constructible design solutions.

• Assess and modify engineering procedures and criteria; innovate and enhance techniques, processes, materials, or products.

• Manage projects within a portfolio and coordinate documentation and activities for multiple major initiatives.

• Review and finalize scopes, budgets, and schedules; prepare proposals for professional services.

• Support project execution in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

• Prepare and evaluate drawings, reports, technical studies, specifications, and calculations for quality assurance purposes.

• Ensure adherence to company, industry, jurisdictional, client-specific standards, practices, and codes.

• Assess site constraints, permitting requirements, jurisdictional standards, and project criteria.

• Identify design challenges, project risks, and opportunities for enhancing quality, constructability, or efficiency.

• Facilitate design coordination among civil, structural, electrical, project management, and other internal disciplines.

• Lead project meetings and convey engineering work to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary discipline or project-team liaison for clients, project managers, permitting authorities, and external partners.

• Supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to upper-level management and staff.

• Contribute to Revamp's commitment to accountability, quality, curiosity, and the clean-energy mission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline, or comparable relevant work experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.

• Expertise in producing civil land development sheet sets, which include grading, site drainage, and access road design.

• Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, codes, and design practices.

• Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently.

• Skilled at identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capable of both creative and analytical thinking.

• Detail-oriented and precise.

• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Collaborative mindset for project delivery and cross-functional coordination.

• Professional Civil Engineering (PE) licensure is highly preferred; multi-state licensure is advantageous.

• Previous experience in renewable energy, utility-scale solar, BESS, infrastructure, or land development; familiarity with utility or commercial solar PV systems or energy storage system design is strongly preferred.

• Prior supervisory or managerial experience.

• Proficient with civil design software and tools pertinent to site design, grading, drainage, stormwater, and permitting.

• Experience in coordinating with clients, permitting authorities, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
