This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Depict character and object movements and behaviors, seamlessly integrating them with gameplay and visual storytelling.

• Collaborate with the Principal Animator to create and implement gameplay and cinematic animations.

• Utilize animation principles such as weight, balance, inertia, and posing.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of motion, acting, and timing.

• Ensure animations adhere to technical and visual quality standards while aligning with the project's artistic vision.

• Work closely with production team members to address technical and design challenges.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior animators.

• Proactively identify and address potential conflicts or production challenges.

• Communicate technical and artistic limitations while proposing viable solutions.

• Assess the animation pipeline for potential enhancements.

• Modify and polish animations as instructed by the Art Director and Principal Animator.

• Assist with Unreal Engine integrations within motion trees, character components, blend spaces, and related systems.

• Engage proactively to support team and project objectives.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

• Over 7 years of experience in animation within a game development setting.

• Proficient in standard animation software such as Maya, 3D StudioMax, and MotionBuilder.

• Demonstrated ability to complete work on time while maintaining consistent communication with the team.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under pressure.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
