Senior Category Manager, IT Software – Hardware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more locations.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement procurement strategies for Corporate IT, encompassing SaaS, Hardware, and Telecom solutions.

• Oversee a substantial pipeline of software renewals.

• Direct negotiations for essential SaaS platforms.

• Organize and negotiate Statements of Work for IT Professional Services and Systems Integrators.

• Enhance relationships with Value-Added Resellers for end-user computing and peripherals.

• Guarantee competitive pricing and fulfillment logistics to support a growing workforce.

• Provide guidance to the CIO, IT Operations, and Security leadership teams.

• Conduct make-versus-buy assessments and shape technical requirements.

• Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance with privacy and security standards for software and hardware agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of strategic procurement experience, with at least 4 years focused on IT, Software, or Technology sourcing.

• In-depth knowledge of SaaS licensing models, including consumption-based, per-seat, and enterprise agreements.

• Experience negotiating with Tier 1 software vendors.

• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, such as MSAs, EULAs, DPAs, and Professional Services SOWs.

• Experience in managing Hardware lifecycles and negotiating with large VARs or OEMs.

• Strong financial acumen with the ability to present TCO analysis to Finance and Engineering leadership.

• Capability to manage multiple concurrent high-priority renewals and sourcing initiatives.

• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure expenditures, AWS, GCP, and FinOps principles.

• Proficient in using Ariba P2P, e-sourcing, and spend analysis tools.

• Remote work is limited to designated US locations.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
