Senior CAD Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Execute design and drafting for transport infrastructure across significant projects.

• Create high-quality drawings and digital models that comply with NZTA, client, and project specifications.

• Develop and oversee CAD and BIM outputs to meet project design and delivery needs.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members on digital design tools, drafting standards, and workflows.

• Operate with limited supervision to manage personal deliverables while contributing to overall project goals.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate and federate design contributions across various projects.

• Assist in the preparation of design documentation, ensuring that outputs comply with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

• Promote the use of BIM and digital engineering tools to improve design coordination and project execution.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, a Diploma in Engineering, or a similar qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience in drafting and designing transport infrastructure.

• Extensive experience in delivering transport infrastructure projects, encompassing civil arrangements, geometric design, road corridors, cycleways, footpaths, signage, utilities, and safety infrastructure.

• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality CAD drawings and design documentation for project execution.

• Proficient in using AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Revizto, or comparable platforms.

• Strong grasp of BIM and digital engineering workflows.

• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating design inputs.

• Solid understanding of design standards, quality requirements, and project delivery schedules.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
