Senior C++ Software Engineer – AI Developer Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-quality C++ components, APIs, and integrations for NVIDIA’s AI-driven developer tools ecosystem.

• Create robust, performance-oriented systems that connect native C++ tools with Genie’s retrieval and agentic functionalities.

• Develop maintainable interfaces linking C++ applications with AI services made accessible through Python, MCP, REST APIs, and structured tool calls.

• Contribute to the development of agentic workflows, retrieval systems, ingestion pipelines, evaluation infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.

• Lead technical projects from initial exploration to production deployment, collaborating closely with diverse engineering teams.

• Guide engineers and help establish best practices for high-quality AI-powered systems.

• Enhance Genie, NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI knowledge and developer productivity service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in developing complex production software utilizing modern C++.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, concurrency, debugging, performance optimization, and maintainable API design.

• Proven experience in managing complex systems from design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Practical experience with AI-driven applications, agentic workflows, developer tools, retrieval systems, or related technologies.

• Capability to integrate native C++ applications with Python-based services and service APIs.

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to lead technical projects, clarify unclear requirements, and mentor engineers.

• Experience in developing developer tools, profiling systems, debugging infrastructure, or performance analysis platforms.

• Familiarity with MCP, structured tool calling, agent orchestration, or retrieval-augmented generation.

• Experience in designing secure, enterprise-scale retrieval or semantic search systems.

• Knowledge of LLM evaluation, grounding, observability, and hallucination mitigation.

• Understanding of GPU architecture, graphics APIs, game engines, or application performance optimization.
