Senior Business Strategy Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform market, competitive, customer, and operational research to uncover trends and potential business opportunities.

• Convert research insights into actionable recommendations that facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Evaluate the effectiveness and financial implications of distribution strategies.

• Discover opportunities to enhance growth, profitability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from their inception to implementation.

• Collaborate with distribution, product, technology, operations, finance, and analytics teams.

• Analyze extensive and intricate datasets to reveal trends, business risks, and opportunities for growth.

• Act as the business owner for key distribution platforms and manage enhancement backlogs.

• Specify business requirements and prioritize initiatives accordingly.

• Team up with technical groups on implementation efforts.

• Create executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations aimed at senior leadership.

• Convey insights, trade-offs, and suggested solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Insurance, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Demonstrated capability to manage numerous priorities and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in simplifying complex business, financial, and technical concepts.

• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to transition initiatives from strategy to execution.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing data, metrics, and business insights.

• Experience in collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute projects or programs from concept to implementation.

• Skilled in developing executive-ready business cases, strategic recommendations, executive presentations, and leadership communications.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Insurance Distribution, Product Management, Business Strategy, or Management Consulting.

• Familiarity with evaluating distribution performance, operating models, customer experience strategies, digital platforms, or growth initiatives within the insurance sector.

• Experience in supporting financial performance, profitability initiatives, P&L management, or business case development.

• Knowledge of Auto Insurance, Commercial Auto Insurance, Small Business Insurance, underwriting, agency distribution models, and associated insurance operations.
