This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Oversee the tactical implementation and overall success of all Costco U.S. regions, including Business Delivery, in addition to BJ’s Wholesale Club.
• Ensure the successful attainment of annual merchandising, assortment, pricing, and rotation goals.
• Create customer-specific objectives that align with Del Monte’s strategic initiatives for Costco and BJ’s across Center Store and Produce.
• Meet customer targets associated with new product launches, assortment optimization, pricing execution, merchandising standards, and rotation compliance.
• Formulate, monitor, and manage annual fiscal plans with specific tactics aimed at achieving sustained growth with Costco/BJ’s over the next 2–3 years.
• Work collaboratively with Del Monte and Costco/BJ’s supply chain teams to guarantee seamless execution of new item launches, rotations, promotions, and seasonal activities.
• A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• 5-10 years of regional or headquarters retail sales experience in the consumer packaged goods sector or brokerage.
• Demonstrated success in the retail grocery industry, ideally with experience in consumer packaged goods and/or brokerage.
• Previous direct responsibility for Costco, with:
• A strong grasp of Club-specific success metrics (velocity, rotation, margin, inventory productivity).
• An understanding of Costco’s culture, expectations, and merchant mindset.
• Proven ability to influence customer contacts through effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey insights clearly and persuasively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with syndicated data tools like Nielsen, Circana, or similar platforms.
