Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate elements impacting business profitability, growth, and efficiency.

• Support strategic initiatives that address identified business challenges.

• Review current practices, gather information and industry trends, and formulate specifications that bolster business initiatives.

• Design and execute process enhancements, modifications, and improvements.

• Engage in unique analytical projects and sophisticated technical reporting.

• Offer expert operational assistance by addressing inquiries and pinpointing issues.

• Manage escalated daily operational concerns.

• Provide mentorship to junior business analysts and oversee workflow.

• Act as an analytical resource for the broader organization and its business units.

• Identify business requirements through technical analysis and reporting.

• Formulate strategies that align with company and departmental objectives.

• Convey strategies through specifications, project plans, and other relevant documentation.

• Generate reports derived from data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities.

• Recognize patterns, challenges, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Source, compile, and interpret data effectively.

• Conduct advanced data analysis and relay findings while guiding the analysis output.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with six (6) years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role; alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of these fields with four (4) years of experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the banking sector.

• Proficiency in database management.

• Experience utilizing Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and trend analysis.

• Familiarity with SAS, R, and Python for advanced data mining and complex data analysis.

• Knowledge of ETL processes as well as SAS or SQL from data extraction to intricate data transformations within a relational database environment.
