Senior Business Analyst, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and sessions for gathering requirements.

• Ensure alignment of requirements with product strategy and organizational goals.

• Assess proposed solutions against business requirements and anticipated results.

• Elicit, analyze, document, and oversee business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

• Convert business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules.

• Engage in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Aid development teams in comprehending requirements and business context throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine and sustain product backlogs.

• Assist in prioritizing features, enhancements, technical debt, and operational improvements.

• Define future-state business capabilities and process enhancements.

• Analyze enterprise business processes and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Develop functional specifications, process models, workflows, and business requirements documentation.

• Assess the impacts of proposed changes across applications, integrations, processes, and stakeholders.

• Ensure traceability between requirements, development activities, testing, and business outcomes.

• Analyze system interactions, interfaces, data flows, and platform dependencies.

• Collaborate on cloud-native applications and integrations based on Microsoft Azure.

• Support requirements concerning scalability, performance, security, compliance, and operations.

• Define requirements and acceptance criteria for features powered by AI and intelligent automation.

• Analyze AI use cases, including conversational interfaces, intelligent search, recommendation engines, and agent-driven workflows.

• Assist stakeholders in understanding AI capabilities, limitations, governance needs, and risks.

• Foster relationships with business and technology stakeholders and facilitate communication between business users and delivery teams.

• Manage competing priorities, drive consensus, resolve requirement ambiguities, and present recommendations to leadership and project teams.

• Ensure successful delivery outcomes for enterprise software solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software product development environments; equivalent professional experience will be accepted.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in supporting enterprise-scale software products.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery frameworks.

• Experience in leading requirements activities across various initiatives and stakeholders.

• Background in collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and UX teams.

• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation and management, business process analysis, functional and non-functional requirements, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, process mapping and modeling, gap analysis, stakeholder management, and solution evaluation.

• Experience with Scrum methodologies, backlog refinement and prioritization, sprint planning, user story mapping, dependency identification, Agile metrics and reporting, and change management.

• Working knowledge of SDLC, REST APIs and integrations, data modeling concepts, SQL and data analysis, functional specification development, and enterprise application architectures.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Visio or similar process modeling tools, Miro or collaboration platforms.

• Basic understanding of Generative AI concepts, LLMs, Microsoft Copilot, prompt engineering, AI-assisted business analysis, intelligent document processing, AI agents and workflows, responsible AI, and AI governance and risk.

• Proficient in English.

• Preferred qualifications include: CBAP, PMI-PBA, SAFe POPM, SAFe Agilist, experience with Azure-hosted applications, AI-enabled software products, enterprise SaaS or cloud-native product organizations, and data analytics/reporting platforms.
