Senior Backend Software Engineer – AI Engine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver AI-driven features from inception to deployment while ensuring quality, latency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop backend services and APIs that maintain high performance under actual load conditions.

• Implement system instrumentation, monitor key metrics, and resolve production issues.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of code and design proposals.

• Transition prompt, retrieval, and agent modifications from experimental phases to production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python with a proven history of delivering and managing production backends.

• Strong knowledge of AWS, particularly serverless technologies including Lambda.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and Postgres.

• Experience in designing, integrating, and monitoring production APIs.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, including Kafka and SQS.

• Expertise in production observability utilizing metrics, logs, traces, and alerts; proficiency in Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.

• Comfortable working with distributed systems and addressing loosely defined challenges.

• Mandatory experience with Kotlin, Golang, or Java, as well as microservices and distributed systems.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to think critically and challenge existing assumptions.

• Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across product management, design, data science, and engineering teams.
