Senior Backend Engineer – Platform and Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, maintainable, and production-ready code for core infrastructure and associated product areas.

• Guide projects from initial concept to production deployment.

• Empower and support cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate as part of a full-stack product development team.

• Enhance developer experiences through dashboards, documentation, APIs, and SDKs.

• Recognize and promote techniques and technologies that enhance platform reliability and scalability.

• Take part in the Platform On-Call rotation.

• Offer feedback on code, design, and security reviews.

• Mentor and coach less experienced team members.

• Develop both internal and public-facing services.

• Enhance performance and observability while scaling the platform.

• Engage in technical decision-making, planning, and architectural discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in professional software development.

• Proven history of technical leadership and architectural contributions.

• Experience in implementing AWS-based cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.

• Proficient with Docker.

• Experience in the JavaScript/TypeScript and Python ecosystems.

• Practical experience building and managing FaaS environments, such as AWS Lambda.

• Expertise in developing and evolving large-scale, distributed production systems.

• Experience with complex CI/CD processes.

• Ability to produce maintainable and comprehensible code.

• Dedication to engineering excellence and automated testing.

• Experience utilizing AI coding agents.

• Professional experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, or GitLab CI/CD is a plus.

• A GitHub or similar portfolio is an added advantage.
