Senior Backend Engineer – ClickPipes Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance integrations with various streaming platforms and object storage solutions, such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, S3, GCS, and Azure Blob Storage.

• Continuously refine systems based on operational metrics, customer insights, and changing business needs.

• Lead technical discussions and play a role in architectural decisions that impact platform scalability and reliability.

• Engage in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability and address production incidents.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams.

• Manage projects from conception through to production.

• Assist in making data ingestion pipelines efficient, dependable, and user-friendly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience in building and managing distributed systems.

• Proficient in Go and its ecosystem.

• Experience in designing systems with scalability and fault tolerance in mind.

• Knowledge of concurrency, consistency, and failure recovery principles.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture.

• Hands-on experience with at least one leading cloud service provider.

• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot production issues within distributed systems.

• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.

• Experience with data ingestion pipelines, streaming platforms, or object storage is an advantage.
