Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and deploy new infrastructure for Littlebird, an AI assistant tailored for Mac and Android.

• Design systems that empower the agent to reason, retain information, and adapt over time.

• Build essential infrastructure that transforms unstructured user data into a cohesive world model.

• Design and execute cutting-edge AI memory systems.

• Enhance data ingestion, hybrid search, and re-ranking processes.

• Maintain infrastructure that is secure, observable, efficient, dependable, and cost-effective.

• Develop effective graph-based retrieval methods for rich, structured agent context.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in constructing and scaling data-driven backend systems using Python or Go.

• Proficient system design abilities with experience in distributed systems.

• A solid understanding of data structures and their associated trade-offs.

• Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with contemporary cloud infrastructure, observability tools, and PostgreSQL.

• A pragmatic mindset for determining when to build for longevity versus implementing quick, effective solutions.
