Senior Backend Developer, C# – .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and implement intricate backend functionalities using C# and .NET, overseeing the entire process from conception through testing to operations.

• Assume accountability for architectural and design choices while developing scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.

• Integrate business context and user requirements into technical decisions, carefully assessing project specifications.

• Develop testing strategies, implement test automation, and set quality and performance benchmarks.

• Ensure system health visibility through effective logging, metrics, and tracing.

• Perform code, security, and design reviews, while enhancing coding guidelines.

• Minimize technical debt by executing targeted refactoring and promoting enhancements that decrease manual effort.

• Guide junior team members and assist the team in upholding shared standards.

• Provide technical leadership for initiatives and work collaboratively with Product Management and related teams.

• Foster continuous improvement in workflows and processes using data-driven insights.

• Implement AI development tools for challenging tasks and establish practices for their effective, secure, and economical application.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with C# and .NET in backend development.

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies.

• Proven experience in making architectural and design choices, along with developing scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.

• Expertise in testing methodologies, test automation, quality assurance, and performance testing, including load and stress tests.

• Knowledge of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), along with experience in security and design reviews and Privacy by Design principles.

• Background in developing and continuously enhancing engineering standards.

• Experience in mentoring and conducting constructive code reviews.

• Familiarity with agile development practices.

• Exceptional communication skills in both German and English.

• Experience in breaking down monolithic systems into independent services; utilizing Docker and containerization in production; applying Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform; or implementing Domain-Driven Design (preferred but not mandatory).

• Experience in regulated industries or healthcare settings (preferred but not mandatory).
