Senior Back-End Engineer, Python, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems and APIs utilizing Python with Django and FastAPI.

• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and business analysts to deliver solutions ready for production.

• Engage in architectural discussions and suggest enhancements for scalability, maintainability, and security.

• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud infrastructure, and improvements in observability.

• Continuously enhance technical skills and explore new technologies and methodologies.

• Work on custom SaaS platforms and intricate integrations for international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience with Python and contemporary frameworks (Django, FastAPI).

• Familiarity with AWS services and deploying applications in cloud settings.

• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain modular, scalable systems and APIs.

• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and experience with ORMs.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) and best practices in version control.

• Capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with minimal oversight.

• Excellent communication skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven systems (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.

• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools is advantageous.

• Understanding of Docker and container-based deployments is a plus.

• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is beneficial.

• Knowledge of NoSQL or in-memory databases (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.

• Must possess a Polish business entity capable of invoicing B2B, or be willing to establish one before commencing work.

• Must be able to work on a personal computer.

• Ability to work from 3 to 7 PM overlap.

• Proficiency in the English language is required.
