Senior Back-End Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate requirements and suggest technical solutions that align with business objectives.

• Design and implement back-end APIs and services, ensuring optimal performance and security.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless integration among systems and applications.

• Conduct unit and integration testing to verify the quality of the delivered code.

• Engage actively in code reviews and advocate for best development practices.

• Contribute to ongoing enhancements of the processes and tools utilized by the team.

• Mentor and support junior developers, sharing expertise and best practices.

• Become a part of the Consortia Management team, specifically within the Product Development Coordination department.

• Create, develop, and maintain robust, scalable solutions primarily utilizing Java technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Java 11 or later.

• Familiarity with test automation processes.

• Experience in developing back-end applications, particularly focusing on RESTful APIs.

• Background in creating web services and APIs (JSON or XML over HTTP).

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).

• Proficiency in developing with containers (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka).

• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc.) and an understanding of Lean concepts.

• Awareness of information security principles.

• Understanding of distributed and concurrent application development.

• Experience in large-scale projects and high-availability environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools is advantageous.

• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architecture (SOA) is beneficial.

• Participation in development communities or industry events is an asset.
