Senior Automation Testing Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Provide support for software releases through automation and testing, emphasizing the automation test platform.

• Analyze logs and troubleshoot ongoing processes.

• Update existing automation tests from the backlog.

• Collaborate with the network team.

• Write and deploy automated tests across two internal test environments.

• Work with various departments to grasp project scopes.

• Report on the status of testing progress.

• Innovate new test automation methodologies.

• Mentor team members in automation practices.

• Utilize a custom Python-Selenium-based automation framework for comprehensive testing.

• Develop and implement test scripts for thorough end-to-end product testing.

• Review executed test outcomes using test framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps to pinpoint issues.

• Maintain, support, and enhance the existing automation framework.

• Create tools to improve automation processes and testing workflows.

• Identify and resolve weaknesses in automated processes.

• Partner with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to ensure alignment of Test Automation objectives with the company's priorities and strategy.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Experience in SaaS or web applications is preferred.

• Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.

• Experience with public cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Understanding of version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems.

• Proficiency in front-end testing of web applications.

• Experience in back-end testing, API testing, or microservices testing.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Basic knowledge of log analysis.

• Practical experience with databases such as MySQL or similar systems.

• Basic familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.

• Experience with high-volume transactional systems is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of Playwright.
