Senior Automation QA Engineer – Entertainment Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Core Web and Core Platform engineering teams throughout the phases of planning, development, testing, and release.

• Perform risk assessments for new features, system modifications, and backend migrations to establish testing priorities and coverage.

• Detect and resolve quality gaps in headless frontend applications and backend services prior to launch.

• Construct, maintain, and enhance end-to-end automated test suites utilizing Playwright or Cypress with TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Create and sustain automated API tests for backend services, integrations, and overall system behavior.

• Incorporate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure dependable and repeatable release validation.

• Work alongside developers to enhance testability, foster quality ownership, and embed testing practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Establish quality metrics, release criteria, and validation strategies to evaluate launch readiness.

• Leverage AI-assisted tools to aid in test design, automation development, and increase testing efficiency.

• Relay risks, defects, coverage gaps, and release issues to engineering stakeholders.

• Consistently enhance automation coverage, testing processes, and quality engineering methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software QA specifically for web applications and backend systems.

• Proven track record of ownership over testing strategies and quality results.

• Practical experience with web end-to-end automation using Playwright or Cypress along with TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Experience in API test automation utilizing REST Assured, Postman, or code-based testing frameworks.

• Strong grasp of risk-based testing, test strategy formulation, and test coverage prioritization.

• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Capability to collaborate with developers as a quality partner and mentor, encouraging shared ownership.

• Experience with AI-assisted tools for test design and automation.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in English.

• Ability to work directly with distributed engineering teams.

• Must be currently residing in Latin America.
