Senior Automation Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive execution of intralogistics projects autonomously, focusing on costs, quality, and timelines.

• Manage all trades and interfaces from the moment of contract signing until customer system acceptance.

• Implement automated logistics systems that include rack operating equipment, materials handling technology, and warehouse control systems.

• Allocate subcontractors in collaboration with the Purchasing department.

• Serve as the liaison between customers and both internal and external partners and suppliers.

• Coordinate all functions related to the project.

• Maintain and distribute updated project schedules regularly.

• Provide weekly reports to both internal and external teams, along with monthly updates to management.

• Transition projects from the planning and design phases.

• Specify and clarify the scope of supply and services required.

• Engage in discussions concerning IT requirements and specifications.

• Distribute updated working drawings as necessary.

• Coordinate construction-site activities in collaboration with customers and partners.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, cost constraints, and scheduling.

• Create risk assessments and mitigation plans.

• Offer construction management and commissioning support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor and evaluate contractual services for performance.

• Compile comprehensive project documentation for review.

• Prepare and execute system acceptance protocols.

• Transition completed projects to the After Sales Service team.

• Maintain customer satisfaction throughout the entirety of the project delivery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, IT, or industrial engineering with a specialization in materials handling technology/logistics, or a comparable qualification is advantageous.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a project management role or in project management within a relevant field, preferably in the capacity of a general contractor.

• Proficient knowledge in logistics, materials handling technology, automated warehouse technology, control technology, and IT systems for material flow.

• Extensive experience in the implementation of turnkey materials handling and warehouse technologies or related areas.

• Proficient use of MS Office applications, especially MS Project and Excel.

• Ability to interpret CAD drawings produced by the team.

• Confident communication skills in spoken and written English (conversational level).

• Willingness to travel overnight and work overtime as necessary.
