Senior Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage a dynamic caseload involving state and federal plaintiff-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation.

• Provide mentorship and direction to associate attorneys.

• Formulate case strategies.

• Handle and respond to intricate discovery processes.

• Conduct and defend depositions.

• Prepare and argue dispositive motions and class certification motions.

• Lead negotiations for settlements.

• Represent clients in court during hearings and trials.

• Guide junior attorneys on effective litigation practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a license to practice law in Illinois, or be licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and currently seeking admission to the Illinois Bar.

• At least 8+ years of experience in civil litigation.

• Proficiency in discovery processes within civil litigation.

• Experience in oral advocacy and court appearances.

• Familiarity with motion practice.

• Experience in taking and defending depositions.

• Previous involvement in class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour cases is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Chicago.
