Senior Associate, Subcontracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement subcontract strategies that align with both program and organizational goals.

• Oversee subcontracting risks and ensure adherence to procurement policies.

• Lead negotiations to finalize subcontract agreements with advantageous terms and conditions.

• Manage contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms.

• Monitor and assess subcontractor performance based on established metrics.

• Conduct regular evaluations and audits of subcontractors.

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and program management teams.

• Identify subcontracting risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Handle multiple Government procurements in support of various Government Programs.

• Clearly communicate policies, procedures, and practices to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide direction and support to fellow employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant subcontracts experience.

• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of relevant subcontracts experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of related subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree.

• Familiarity with supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.

• Experience in interpreting the demands of program management, engineering, and suppliers in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.

• Experience in supporting supplier contracts exceeding the TINA threshold ($2M) with limited guidance.

• Willingness to travel 25% to supplier site locations.
