Senior Associate, Coding Documentation Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver real-time documentation assistance to healthcare providers before and after patient interactions.

• Assess chart review outcomes and provide insights to enhance coding and documentation best practices for physicians and staff.

• Support the chart review process through practice assistance and educational efforts.

• Identify areas for improvement to develop provider education and formulate action plans to address practice shortcomings.

• Create chart note examples, analyze provider documentation trends, and prepare educational materials and coding guidelines for practices and follow-ups.

• Offer coding education to physicians, advanced practitioners, and staff as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to relevant federal, state, and county laws and regulations concerning risk adjustment coding and documentation.

• Foster transparency and work collaboratively with project team members to ensure effective coordination.

• Assist the risk adjustment manager in gathering data and reporting for the accurate chart review coding program.

• Work together with the risk adjustment team on educational initiatives and improvement strategies while complying with corporate compliance programs and regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required.

• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) is preferred.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in Risk Adjustment HCC coding or abstraction is necessary.

• At least 2 years of experience in ICD-10 coding and chart review auditing is required.

• A thorough understanding of HCC coding rules and regulations is essential.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

• Ability to utilize Excel functions to analyze data trends, including the creation of pivot tables and graphs.
