Senior Architect, InsuranceSuite Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete solution and technical architecture for intricate Guidewire InsuranceSuite projects encompassing PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.

• Convert customer business needs into scalable implementation designs that address configuration, integration, data, and cloud operations.

• Make critical design choices related to data models, integration patterns, performance, resiliency, and extensibility.

• Lead and evaluate technical designs, configuration methodologies, and integration specifications.

• Diagnose complex problems spanning application, integration, and data layers.

• Conduct design and code reviews while mentoring architects and consultants.

• Establish reusable patterns, accelerators, and best practices for regional InsuranceSuite implementations.

• Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Cloud teams to provide field feedback and ensure solutions align with Guidewire Cloud capabilities.

• Manage technical risks and non-functional requirements throughout the delivery process.

• Assist in estimation, scoping, and planning for proposals and delivery engagements.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to technical leaders from customers and partners.

• Organize architecture workshops and document decisions along with their rationale.

• Lead the architecture for key LATAM programs, mitigating design risks and speeding up time-to-value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to leverage AI and data-driven insights to enhance design, development, and troubleshooting.

• Over 12 years of experience in enterprise software implementation or architecture.

• Experience with multiple large-scale transformation or core system projects.

• More than 4 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementation, including configuration and integration.

• Strong proficiency in Gosu, Java, or other similar object-oriented programming languages.

• Comprehensive understanding of REST/SOAP integrations, messaging, and batch processing.

• Experience in designing end-to-end architectures that encompass configuration, integrations, data migration considerations, and non-functional requirements.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Guidewire Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.

• Solid understanding of P&C insurance concepts and InsuranceSuite mapping.

• Exceptional communication and consulting abilities.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery environments with distributed teams.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Located in Brazil with the capability to work remotely and coordinate with LATAM customer time zones.

• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, in addition to English.
