Senior Architect, Azure Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Address monitoring alerts and client inquiries, encompassing both break-fix tasks and proactive support efforts.

• Deliver architect-level assistance for clients' Azure infrastructures, with an emphasis on security.

• Design new Azure environments and implement modifications to existing setups.

• Strategize and address issues highlighted in vulnerability assessments at both the Azure and operating system levels.

• Lead security assessments based on best practices for clients' Azure environments.

• Manage responses to security alerts, including initial triage and escalation up to user or device isolation.

• Elevate security concerns to clients when necessary.

• Serve as a trusted advisor for clients within their Azure environments.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Provide support for Azure infrastructure and networking, Azure PaaS elements, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Azure diagnostics and logging, virtual firewalls, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, LogicMonitor, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and operating system-level challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure, focusing on infrastructure, security, and networking.

• Foundational knowledge of PaaS resources.

• At least 3 years of experience with Windows Server and associated components, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server management.

• Some familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, covering Entra ID tenant management, Exchange Online, and Intune.

• Basic expertise in PowerShell.

• Experience with Linux is advantageous.

• Previous experience managing firewalls, particularly Palo Alto devices, is a plus.

• Willingness to be on call for approximately one week each month.
