This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Design, develop, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure along with shared platform services that support digital workloads.
• Implement and sustain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, and governance frameworks.
• Create Azure PaaS, containers, and managed services as reusable capabilities for the platform.
• Ensure that platforms fulfill scalability, resilience, performance, cost-effectiveness, and reusability criteria.
• Employ DevOps and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness.
• Establish and operationalize essential platform services and tools for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, data engineering, security, and risk teams within agile cross-functional pods.
• Provide standardized Azure platform capabilities, deployment patterns, and paved-road solutions.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks utilizing GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CDKTF.
• Develop reusable, modular deployment patterns that balance self-service with governance.
• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement of environments.
• Create tools for consistent and secure provisioning of Azure environments and deployment of solutions.
• Implement security-by-design principles across identity, networking, encryption, secrets management, and auditability.
• Ensure Azure solutions adhere to security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with architecture reviews, risk assessments, and audits.
• Design platforms with built-in observability, traceability, and operational controls.
• Lead significant projects and develop horizontal capabilities across the enterprise.
• Practical experience in engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure within large-scale or regulated settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of Azure platforming, networking, identity, access management, and governance.
• Proven experience with scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Capability to troubleshoot and manage production Azure environments effectively.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions, ARM, Terraform, or comparable tools.
• Experience in constructing and managing CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application delivery.
• Background in developing reusable deployment frameworks, foundational automation, or internal platform tooling.
• Familiarity with IAM models, role definitions, and least-privilege access strategies.
• Experience with Azure API Management or analogous API gateway solutions.
• Knowledge of secure service exposure, rate limiting, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Familiarity with SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and resilience patterns.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering).
• Over 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering leadership, or infrastructure roles.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering and managing Azure environments.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale Azure platforms.
• Experience in developing foundational cloud platform capabilities, engineering enablement tools, or shared services for internal development teams.
