This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, create, and implement AI-driven features that enhance patient engagement, care coordination, claims management, and operational efficiency.
• Utilize Claude Code and related AI development tools for building, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining full-stack software products.
• Work in collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable, user-centric solutions.
• Develop APIs, backend services, automation pipelines, and LLM integrations that facilitate intelligent product functionalities.
• Employ software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps methodologies in testing, deployment, monitoring, security, and performance enhancement.
• Assess emerging AI technologies and implementation strategies to advance product functionality and engineering processes.
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support team goals and ensure project success.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or full-stack application development.
• Proven expertise in using Claude Code to create functional software products, including feature implementation, debugging code, and validating outcomes.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in developing frontend components, backend services, and APIs.
• Practical experience in integrating LLMs into applications via APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents, generative AI workflows, or retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the assessment of AI-generated code for accuracy, security, maintainability, and test coverage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage uncertainty, and contribute effectively in a remote Agile setting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Cursor, Codex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in developing deployed AI applications or supporting technology initiatives in healthcare, payer/provider sectors, federal government, or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• All selected candidates must successfully complete a background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting, when necessary for the position.
