Senior Application Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to end users for Emerson Syncade and DeltaV.

• Set up, construct, implement, improve, and troubleshoot Syncade MES alongside business stakeholders and implementation partners.

• Create master data and recipes while establishing best practices with business process leaders.

• Aid in the operationalization of manufacturing and related systems.

• Guarantee continuous 24/7 functionality of manufacturing systems for CAR T production, which includes rotating weekend on-call support.

• Facilitate daily operations and future improvements as an IT system owner and technical authority.

• Assist in the integration of site manufacturing systems with enterprise systems such as LIMS, ERP, and RTMS.

• Assess and resolve user technical inquiries and complex technical challenges.

• Record issues and escalations in ServiceNow and maintain a knowledge base for the platform.

• Adhere to escalation protocols and collaborate with various tier teams.

• Write ad hoc SQL queries to extract MES data for non-urgent requests.

• Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in pharma/biotech projects, particularly in Manufacturing and IT sectors.

• Familiarity with shop floor operations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and process automation.

• Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and support, ideally with Syncade MES.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a MIS discipline.

• Experience with reporting systems such as Informetric InfoBatch.

• Proficiency with labeling systems like Bartender.

• Experience in integrating MES with enterprise applications like ERP (Oracle/SAP), LIMS, RTMS, etc.

• Capability to author, review, and approve technical documentation, protocols, and reports, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, change controls, and SOPs.

• Knowledge of Electronic Batch Records (EBR) and Review by Exception (RBE).

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, reporting services, database design, and data architecture.

• Ability to create queries in multiple database environments.

• Familiarity with Test Strategy, Test Management, and Defect Tracking Tools such as HP ALM.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; an Associates or Technical degree will be accepted.

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts providing 24/7 technical support.
