Senior Application & Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, maintain, and document software components according to design specifications.

• Create and integrate technological components within the sBMS architecture.

• Develop interoperability components that adhere to the EU interoperability framework.

• Leverage components from adjacent systems whenever applicable.

• Design and execute unit test specifications utilizing the relevant toolset and infrastructure.

• Create automation testing scripts for both unit and integration testing.

• Engage in code reviews to enhance code quality, security, and knowledge sharing.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Implement user requirements as specified by the Product Owner and Business Analyst team.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including installation and operation manuals.

• Assist with deployment and configuration processes across QA, pre-production, and production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in understanding IT design models and specifications to use them as a foundation for programming.

• Extensive knowledge of Java (Spring Boot microservices).

• Solid understanding of web and multi-tier web application development.

• Familiarity with REST, gRPC, and Kafka/IBM Event Streams.

• Competence in working with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Helm, and Istio.

• Experience with GitHub CI/CD, ArgoCD, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and Fortify.

• Proficient in using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Vector, Kibana), and Splunk.

• Experienced with CASE or modeling tools, such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and UML 2.x diagrams.

• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies in application development.

• Willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment.

• Proficient in written and spoken English, at a minimum C1 level (CEFR).
