Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance the mobile experience for the worldwide courier network, focusing on the courier offer and incentives.

• Work alongside engineering teams and Product Managers in workshops to identify new product features.

• Produce high-quality software that aligns with team best practices and expectations.

• Take ownership of developed components, oversee timelines, and communicate progress transparently towards team and organizational objectives.

• Share updates and ideas with the team.

• Contribute to the development of the Android guild by sharing best practices, patterns, and standards.

• Act as a Trusted Contributor to other teams’ repositories to incorporate new features into their codebases.

• Report directly to the Technology Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience with Kotlin.

• Proficient in creating user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Experience in integration and unit testing.

• Strong understanding and experience with Android architecture, including multi-modules, Dependency Injection, and MVVM.

• Proven ability to interface with server-side APIs within a complex Microservices ecosystem.

• Deep understanding of building software through decoupled, reusable components.

• Expertise in developing object-oriented, high-performance software with outstanding readability and maintainability.

• Passion for pair programming, thorough code reviews, and proactive knowledge sharing.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving technical environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Successful completion of a background check.
