Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance the mobile experience for Just Eat Takeaway.com's worldwide courier network, with an emphasis on courier promotions and incentives.

• Partner with engineering teams and Product Managers during workshops to outline new product features.

• Produce high-quality software that aligns with team best practices and expectations.

• Assume responsibility for developed components, oversee timelines, and maintain transparent communication regarding progress.

• Communicate updates and ideas with the team.

• Contribute to the Android guild by sharing development methodologies, patterns, and standards.

• Act as a Trusted Contributor to assist other teams’ repositories in integrating new features.

• Report directly to the Technology Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience with Kotlin.

• Skillful in creating user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Familiarity with integration and unit testing.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Android architecture, encompassing multi-modules, Dependency Injection, and MVVM.

• Proficient in interfacing with server-side APIs within a complex Microservices environment.

• Deep understanding of software development through decoupled, reusable components.

• Expertise in developing object-oriented, high-performance software that prioritizes readability and maintainability.

• Passion for pair programming, thorough code reviews, and proactive knowledge sharing.

• Ability to excel in a high-growth, fast-paced, and dynamic technical landscape.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Agreement to the disclosure of personal information for a background check.

• Background check results must meet satisfactory standards for employment.
