Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Create and develop innovative features for Finom’s Android application utilized by business owners throughout Europe.

• Design and execute multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions, payment systems, as well as physical and virtual card issuance and control, alongside AI-driven accounting automation.

• Construct sleek, responsive user interfaces employing Jetpack Compose.

• Take responsibility for code quality, performance, stability, automated testing, and conducting code reviews.

• Collaborate effectively with Backend, QA, Design, Product, Mobile, ML/AI, and other cross-functional teams.

• Lead technical decisions, question assumptions, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, development tools, and mobile engineering best practices.

• Influence architectural decisions and provide mentorship to engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Android development.

• Proficient in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Familiarity with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer design patterns.

• Experience with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Knowledge of Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Proficient in using Retrofit.

• Experience with Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Familiar with Jetpack Compose.

• Hands-on experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient in Git / GitLab and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Pragmatic mindset for product development and capability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Background in fintech or financial products, knowledge of mobile security, performance optimization, profiling tools, published Google Play applications, a GitHub profile, and experience with AI/LLM tooling are desirable.
