Senior AI Solutions Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients

• Analyze RFPs, requirements, and user stories to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and assumptions

• Translate functional and business requirements into feasible architectures and technical solutions

• Define scope, architecture, cloud infrastructure, team composition, and effort estimation

• Prepare and validate quotes and technical proposals

• Document environments, deployment strategies, acceptance criteria, testing plans, and other technical components

• Conduct assessments of existing code, platforms, and architectures to formulate modernization, migration, or evolution strategies

• Design solutions utilizing cloud services, serverless architectures, containers, APIs, events, and AI services

• Create and validate solutions based on generative AI, including RAG, agents, MCP, evaluations, and guardrails

• Build or oversee demos and Proofs of Concept (PoCs)

• Serve as a technical reference during pre-sales and client meetings

• Communicate technical concepts and architectures to both technical and executive audiences

• Perform the technical handoff to delivery teams

• Provide technical direction and address architectural questions during implementation

• Review technical decisions for ongoing projects and collaborate with Project Managers

• Act as an escalation point for technical challenges and complex incidents

• Propose practices, standards, and guidelines to strengthen Engineering

• Function as a technical bridge between sales and software project delivery

• Report directly to the VP of Engineering and collaborate with another Senior Tech Lead

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software development

• At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams, engaging in pre-sales, solution architecture, or project estimation

• Experience working directly with clients during discovery, solution definition, and proposal presentation

• Proven experience in estimating software projects and sizing multidisciplinary teams

• Ability to take full ownership over discoveries, proposals, demos, and technical decisions

• Advanced experience in applied generative AI: RAG, AI agents, MCP, AI solution evaluation, and guardrails

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with Next.js and NestJS, and/or Python with FastAPI

• Advanced use of Claude Code

• Advanced knowledge of Lovable

• Senior-level experience in architecture on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

• Experience with serverless architectures, containers, data, and AI services in the cloud

• Infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or equivalent technologies

• Advanced design and modeling of relational and NoSQL databases

• Experience with migrations and schema versioning

• Advanced design of REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks

• Event-driven architectures, including queues, asynchronous processing, and workflow orchestration

• Architectural documentation using C4 or equivalent, ADRs, and technical specifications

• Knowledge of cloud security and identity: IAM, least privilege, SSO/OIDC, encryption, key management, and protection of exposed applications

• Experience with CI/CD, static quality analysis, container deployment, and production troubleshooting

• Strong experience in technical estimation and architectural definition for new projects

• Current certification in solution architecture, at Associate, Professional, or equivalent level, in the candidate's primary cloud platform

• Traditional machine learning, modeling, and MLOps experience

• Experience with managed machine learning platforms

• Over 2 years in technical pre-sales or as a Solutions Architect

• Mobile application development experience

• Integrations with payment gateways, KYC, business messaging APIs, and productivity suites
